Upgrading from Holo Red, need i2s, external clock input & HQplayer NAA

I am looking to upgrade from my Holo Audio Red. I have been using its i2s output to my Gustard r26. This connection, with a 10 year old AQ Cinnamon HDMI I found in my closet, is far outperforming my $800 Revelation audio Silver Cryo USB cable, in almost every dimension. So sticking with i2s outputs.
Also I’ve been using Roon server core and HQPLayer 6 desktop on Mac Mini M4 to upscale to DSD 512 and I can’t say enough good things. I’d like to retain the HQPlayer NAA ability natively.
The only option I’ve found is the Matrix Audio NT-1. If anyone has any other suggestions or would like to share their experience with their HQPlayer DSD upsampling journey with NAA protocols on their DDC or transports, I’d love to hear them. Or any suggestions for HQPlayer NAA devices for DSD upsampling.

I’m on a similar quest with a similar system.  I have the Red feeding a Gustard R30 via USB. I run Roon server and HQPlayer 5 on a Mac Mini M4.  I’m very happy with the Red and don’t know of another streamer where you can try as many OS variations — RedOS, Ropieee, GentooPlayer, etc.  That said, I’m interested in upgrading to better match up with the R30 — with better power supply, clocks, etc.  Matrix Audio is interesting but pricey. The new Eversolo T10 looks very interesting but not sure about their HQPlayer implementation and whether it’s as good as on the Red.  Has anybody tried the T8 or T10 with HQP?

@jbuddha882 I would call what I experience a stutter because the processing speed dropped below 1x for a period of time.  So that was really between HQPlayer and my DAC.  For the most part, with the configuration I discussed above, I've not had drops between Roon and HQP.  Maybe one of the advantages of having both Roon and HQPlayer on the same server?
