Best bang for the buck

What’s been the most cost effective item you purchased for your system?
I will go first- a Zerostat I bought 40 years ago. Next most cost effective purchase has to be a Denon DL103R cartridge which I bought new for $300.

@edinphiladelphia is the iFi you got this one?   https://a.co/d/0cghbYg6
I have otherwise done the same as you, but for the iFi anf have found the results to be awesome.  It looks like the 5v is on sale for Prime Day.  Just want to make sure I get the right one.  Thank you!

i bought the 9v. Read the descriptions of the parts you are buying very carefully. Everything should match up. Sitting here on my phone and away from my computer I can’t remember the exact details, but I’m very happy with how it turned out.

I went and looked up my order. The TP Link unit was 9 volt. You have to match the power supply with the unit.

My best bang for buck has been repurposing my Roon ROCK NUC as a Windows server.

I already owned dBpoweramo Asset UPnP, so all it's cost me so far was £130 for an external SSD to give extra security with the music files while reformatting the internal SSD drive for music files. I have another £40 or so to pay for the Windows 11 IoT Enterprise LTSC licence. So basically I've got a considerable upgrade in sound quality for a total outlay of around £170.

Yes, there's a downgrade in functionality, but on the positive side I'll be saving $280 equivalent ongoing annual Roon subscription.
