Bookshelf/subwoofer combo

Looking for a good match, 10K or less. Upstream components will be picked later. I'll do as much research as possible on line as traveling to audition is pretty much impossible for me.

Thanks in advance.

Bookshelf match with subwoofer. Room is living space approximately 15x20. End goal, the best 2 channel I can get. My past experience was 25 years ago. The bookshelves had a soft dome tweeter with 6.5 inch ported enclosure coupled with 2 12", powered subwoofers. I loved the sound. Most listening levels will be in the 60 to 80 db range but in the 90's on the rare occasion. The sound, open, detailed, a little laid back and good sound stage. That's what I had.

What are the components you are considering to drive the speakers?  Solid State?  Tubes?  Brands you're looking at?  Sources: Vinyl, Streaming, RTR?  Type of music you listen to?

This info will help members give you suggestions.  I look forward to following.

I'm replacing my Magnepan 1.7i's because my new room, 11.5'w x 17'd, is too narrow for them to sound like they can. They sounded better in my apartment which was wide open.

I have two, JL Dominion 110 powered subs and am looking for a demo of the Monitor Audio Gold 100g stand mount speakers. Everything I read matches them to a room of my size. With stands they're about $7,000. The subs list at $ 1,200 each.
