I can’t recall being so proud at being included in a list of names since junior year high school honor roll!

@brianlucey I was just going to let this thread die but I cannot. ""are you saying that the PhD in material science that's behind Shunyata is somehow just brainwashing people out of their money?"" YES.. I have an advanced degree in Nuclear Engineering--So What, you might be thinking but I have a scientific mind perspective. If you are saying that there is science to Shunyata's approach then why isn't it published? It would be crazy easy to do if it were true. I would be satisfied with a statistically relevant test proving that their cables possess magic--NONE out their either. You can say that their cables sound better, but that's just your opinion and we all have opinions. My opinion says they sound identical to a properly shielded $20 cable. PLEASE PROVE THAT I AM WRONG. Unfortunately, the science is not in your favor, other than the hog wash coming from the manufacturer. I posted a while back a little science experiment that proved to ME that Power Cables are snake oil--
This is an experiment that I conducted a while back::If you would like me to explain the results, I would be glad to.
Spectral results--Each count was 12 hours. High resolution gamma spectroscopy using NIM’s. The NIST certified rate is 20.030 CPS for the Region of Interest (ROI). The region of interest is approximately 661.7 keV. Results--As you can see, the filtered data is very close to the "True" count rate as per NIST certification. The filtration costs > $50,000 and cleans up the AC power before it powers the sensitive electronics. The crystal operates at - 200 degrees Celsius and is ultra sensitive to electronic noise. Using a Nordost Power Cable made no statistically relevant difference as compared to a standard cable. I am not sure what this means on the sonic front but if a Power Cable made NO difference on highly sensitive equipment, how could it make a difference on a CD transport.

As to all posters--Please keep this civil. No need to insult--If you are not interested in this topic, please go to another one that peaks your interest. Another interesting note. About a year ago I contacted several cable manufactures asking for published data and/or relevant test results boasting their claims. AudioQuest was the only one that responded to my inquire, but they didn't have any results to share. WONDER WHY..
@grunge1000 shunyata research has published all of the patents that you can investigate
their power cords are used in hospitals by surgeons to dramatically improve the chances of saving human lives… This is not in the imagination of the surgeons
but the bottom line is why do you care? If you’re happy with your system then use it if you’re not happy with your system, then experiment
those of us who work and live music have no problem hearing the differences between every physical object that runs audio… although I’ve never done any test with ethernet cables, so I have no opinion on that Does my hearing skill and credential bother you? Maybe you should seek some sort of professional help as I sit before, if you're in Los Angeles, you can come by my studio. I'm happy to show you the difference between multiple power cords. It'll take about 10 minutes and you'll hear it. nuclear engineering has nothing to do with materials science… The arrogance of your knowledge does not mean that you know everything everywhere to everyone else… Frank seems like a robot to me
very much indicative of robotic agitators online in social media circles
