Trans Siberian orchestra PHX AZ as well as numerous local bands in the PHX area as well as other towns that sometimes are a better experience than the mainstream bands, all live music is great entertainment. But when I want to get lost in music nothing better than the Hi-Fi I listen to 

Hesperion XXI: Jordi Savall, Montserrat Figueras, Arianna Savall, Ferran Savall and Pedro Estevan at the Getty Center, LA 2004.

12/31/78:  The closing of Winterland.  Started with the showing of Animal House followed by New Riders of the Purple Sage, then The Blues Brothers backed up by Tom Scott and the LA Express (Joni Mitchell's backup band), then the Flying Karmazof Brothers. At midnight Bill Graham came down from the upper balcony on a giant joint as the Dead broke into Sugar Magnolia. The show included 3 sets with breakfast served at dawn.
