CONNECTING A SUB WHEN THERE IS NO SUB-OUT CONNECTION

I’m adding a sub to my system and not sure how to connect it when I have no sub out connection on my preamp.  The photos below show the rear panels for my preamp, one of my two mono amps, and the sub.  Of course, each speaker is connected to one amp channel.

Is connecting the sub as simple as using a spade-to-banana connector between the amp and the sub?

The best way to connect a sub is from the amps speaker terminals directly to the 'high level input' of the sub. If you connect from the pre-amp you don't get to enjoy the dynamic characteristic of your amp.

give us your model numbers, and paste links to your equipment, then we can help you.

Wow !  Nice system, I would contact BAT and ask them. My uneducated guess is you might use the second set of main out’s. I assume you would run two subs hence one balanced connection for each sub. I didn’t dig into your owner’s manual but guess they are variable also. And yes specific pictures would help. Regards , Mike B.

Equipment

BAT Rex Preamp

BAT VK-120 mono blocks (i.e., two VK-60s converted from stereo to mono) and

Martin-Logan Dynamo 10 Subwoofer (and, yes, at some point in the near future I plan to add a second sub).

I hope this works - Here's a link to rear panels:  https://drive.google.com/file/d/127__W75PZ6Nx679IzPJCNQZTmzf6OScG/view?usp=sharing
