Mobile Fidelity Anti-Static Record Brush

Hi, saw this was on sale at Music Direct.  Looks like the Audioquest one that's been around for a long time.  Does anyone have experience with this one?  Any other recommendations for a dry brush?

I’ve been using a no-name carbon fiber brush for 35 or 40 years. It has a metal handle that originally had a connector for a wire to go between the brush and the turntable or phono preamp grounding post. That wore out years ago, so now I just touch it to a grounded metal part on my turntable, to get it at or close to ground potential. Works quite well when I do that, hit or miss if I don’t.

With the MoFi brush and its plastic handle you might be able to achieve the same effect by touching some bristles to a grounded piece of metal. However, if memory serves, carbon fibers have much better conductivity longitudinally than transverse, so it might not work if the fibers aren’t all connected to a good conductor.

I have a long history of my record cleaning journey here. Looking back on it all now, I choose products that have little to no physical contact.

I haven't used a brush in several years. I now have a Dregritter II. I rely heavily on my Destat II in conjunction with by Grotto bulb.

If things ever need physical contact, my Tiger Cloth suffices
