We have to accept 1 fact - that most people cannot hear a difference between components and cables. It is nothing new or surprising. You cannot hear a difference between DACs? Welcome to the 90% of humanity club. You cannot hear a difference between cables? Welcome to the same 90% club.

If I grab my entire family, none of which are audiophiles nor hobbyists, but they do love music - and ask them if 2 amps sound different, they will not be able to tell. Cables? They will not be able to tell. 

If I grab random strangers on the street? Same thing. Most people will not understand the difference. However, some will be able to tell X has more or less bass. And that Y sounds clearer or more details. 

Again, to bring the point home. Most people cannot hear a difference between 2 pieces of gear. 

Better cable = better sound, is logic 101. 

I want to hear the logic of people who think all cables sound the same. It’s anti-logic at best. A banana plug and a spade are fundamentally different both in materials and in physicality. With this in mind, how can one believe 100,000 cables all have the same sound?

Here is a perfect solution to the great cable debate:

1. Buy whatever cables make you happy.

2. Don’t waste your time fretting over which cables someone else chooses to buy.

problem solved. 

I have clone Furutech cables form China that sound close to higher end Kimber and even Nordost. Yes, I can hear the difference, but it is not worth the significant cost to me (or important enough for me to get on cable treadmill). The cable debate is a fun one, but not much middle ground between the 'objectiveists' and 'subjectiveists'. Once my I have settled into my gear, the best sonic gains have been in my  room setup.
