Schiit Yggy DAC is . . . wow

I have been chasing a digital sound for about 10 years and I finally found it. Sprung for a Schiit Yggdrasil DAC (Less is More option) and I haven't been able to get off my couch since I set it up. I have Spatial Open Baffle M5 speakers and I never knew how good they could sound until now. My streamer is a Wiim Ultra, which allowed me the budget for the $2,200 DAC. I have to sing the praises of this DAC. Wanted to recommend it to anyone who might be looking for a streaming upgrade. Don't listen to anyone saying all DACs sound the same. If that were true, I'd be outdoors shooting baskets right now instead of glued to my couch, listening to every playlist I own to hear it again for the first time.

Looks like the OP forgot to take his phone or computer to the couch so he is unable to respond.  : )

What a feeling!  Enjoy

I had a Yggy a few years ago before deciding to match my other ARC gear.  I had the Gungnir before that....both are quite impressive.  Let us know what cable and output you are using to feed the streamer.  I have found this digital cable to be the most important cable.  The difference in sound between cable has been shocking to me.

I am a few weeks into my Yggy DAC experience and my positive vibes are still just as strong. Though I've heard that the upgrade honeymoon can wear off, and you can get used to the sound eventually, my ears still light up when I throw on some new music. I have a vinyl system too, and I like to go from playing that to streaming to keep things fresh. Vinyl is kind of my palate cleanser. But digital is where I really want to be now. Dang, guess I'll need a cartridge upgrade to even things out.
