Schiit Yggy DAC is . . . wow

I have been chasing a digital sound for about 10 years and I finally found it. Sprung for a Schiit Yggdrasil DAC (Less is More option) and I haven't been able to get off my couch since I set it up. I have Spatial Open Baffle M5 speakers and I never knew how good they could sound until now. My streamer is a Wiim Ultra, which allowed me the budget for the $2,200 DAC. I have to sing the praises of this DAC. Wanted to recommend it to anyone who might be looking for a streaming upgrade. Don't listen to anyone saying all DACs sound the same. If that were true, I'd be outdoors shooting baskets right now instead of glued to my couch, listening to every playlist I own to hear it again for the first time.

What a great day you are having today. Nice to see that your nirvana is on an exceptional level. Hopefully 🤞 you have a long time before the itch to upgrade happens. When that happens your budget is overflowing for that next purchase!

   Congratulations on your new level of enjoyment. I have the original Yiggy with an updated gen 5 usb card.  Now you can experiment with different cables and consider a streamer that equals your DAC. Man it’s always something, but those moments of a discovery are fantastic. Everyone has an opinion and everyone likes a certain sound , and I love my Yiggy. FWIT  in my modest system I auditioned usb cables in the $3-500 range and found one very much to my liking. I also added the SmoothLan filter ahead of my streamer with good results.
