Auralic Vega verses LTA Aero

How does my old Auralic Vega stack up against the new LTA Aero?  Got upgrade fever. Looking for knowledge from those who have experience with both units

The Vega obviously does more being a streaming DAC, and I remember those sounding quite good. It’s been too long to between to really compare them. But to me the LTA is a pretty special DAC. I don’t own one, but I’ve been highly impressed with every system I’ve heard using one.

I've been living with the Aero for 2 months now. I went from the Wiim Ultra (REW) to a Innuos Pulsar. Full Audience (front row) XLR loom into a Don Sacks pre into a Prima Luna HP. Full tube setup. When I introduced the Pulsar into my system with the Aero w/LinLai Global E I didn't like the Innuos house sound. The great thing about the Aero is you can do tube rolling to get wear you want to be. I have K/R chrome tops in the DAC & they found a home. I upgrade the original power cord to the Kimber Kable Ascent PK14 Gold AC Power Cable that a fellow member suggested. The Ascent made the Aero to dark with my setup. Then I swapped the cable to the Pulsar & ''BAAM'', that opened up the sound stage & gave it a more 3D effect. I have my units sitting on 3/4'' bamboo & don't know if it makes a difference right now.

I have Stack Audio eq's under my pre with great success & curious to know if they would make a difference in my Streamer & DAC. Stack give a 30 day return policy, (no affiliation) just a happy consumer. The Pulsar has their own footers strategically set under their products, so I would need 3 instead of 4. Maybe I'll try them next month.

If anyone is looking for an outstanding DAC, the Aero should be considered. This Dac gives my EMT a run for the money. I also have an Otari reel to reel that this DAC & my Tables don't compare with original recorded tapes!

I'm recovering for back surgery so for me not to get up & change the LP's is a blessing right now. Happy listening! I hope this helps.
