Who is going to be the first manufacturer to make a Fibre Optic purifier?

Audiophile are us. I'm surprised none of the Audiophile companies have yet jumped on an up and coming opportunity to offer an Audiophile Fibre Optic purifier. Something to clean up reflections etc. Just a thought. Comments?

@jjss49 - I had the Gigafoil v4 a couple of years ago, then tried Network Acoustics (transformer based isolation) filters, and finally moved to a Sonore streamer, optical modules, and fiber.  DJM has this newer streaming-specific filter (link) but I cannot tell from the write-up whether it has an optical component like their Gigafoil v4.

sorry, but what is the need for a fiber optic filter?  I understand the purpose of isolation of copper based data transfer via USB and ethernet through a transceiver into fiber.

Op are you taking about Fresnel reflection in fiber optics when transmitting signal via light?  Or you are still talking about Ethernet purification via fiber optics?

@lanx0003

Indeed. Reflections in fibre optics. Not Ethernet purification via fibre. I'm surprised nobody has jumped on the bandwagon selling a polishing kit for audiophiles or an audiophile fibre optic purifier / cleanup / anti-reflection device.

Cheers.

I think the internal reflection is a part of the design for guiding the light within a fiber optics cable. If you have the back reflections due to a bad connector or spices that can be taken care of by simply replacing the cable.  I’m guessing because practically speaking, it hasn’t imposed actual effect on the sound quality so … but if it does you are given away free idea for the manufacturer.
