I found the Virgos to be excellent imaging speakers with great tonal balance and nuance. I loved them. If you want outstanding  reproduction of jazz bands and quartets, these are the ones. On the other hand, if you are looking to have bass lines and kick drums from rock bands compress your chest... then I would be looking at big B&Ws.

In my experience, these older AP speakers can sound amazing if you are able to follow their somewhat difficult setup requirements. I don't know if their suggestions may have changed on newer models but back in the Libra era it was something like this:

"According to Audio Physic, the ideal room setup to eliminate early reflections is long-wall placement. Your listening position should place your head near the rear wall. The speakers should be placed at the two center points of an ellipsoid touching the walls of the room."

Which is an understated way of saying the speakers are way out almost in the middle of the space. So not practical in a lot of homes. If you can do it though, they tend to sound exceptional.

I owned a pair of Libra speakers for several years.  They are excellent speakers.  The original founder/designer at AP Joachim Gerhard did a great job designing speakers.  I was very impressed with the imaging.  The speakers totally disappeared.  Very smooth with nice tone.  I found them to lean towards the warm side.  I found them lacking in bass and they weren't as detailed or resolving as some other speakers I've owned.  I made a mistake when I sold the Libra's to upgrade to the newer (and much more expensive) AP CODEX.  I wasn't happy with the CODEX and sold them quickly.  The CODEX didn't disappear like the Libra. The CODEX had weak bass and sounded clinical and sterile.  They were more resolving but they didn't have the smoothness and musicality of the Libra.
