I only want to comment on this point. I think this conspiracy theory is being taken too far and is not an educated guess. The Linux-based Volumio player app was released much earlier (2017) than QC (2025). The main framework and programming structure were established back then. Even today, there are still bugs in the software that need to be addressed. If they could reverse-engineer QC to sabotage it, they could just as easily fix all the bugs to win their customers back instead of losing business. Let’s keep our morale up. |
Thank you for being the 2nd owner replying. It is to my surprise that the higher-end (in price) models sound less musical to Zen 3. This provides me the cost benefit as well. Appreciated. |
