That’s an odd comparison. First, it’s the exact same wine whether it’s in a cup or wine glass. Second, vinyl is not better than digital. It’s just different. I prefer lossless streaming over vinyl every single time. My wife prefers the distortion that vinyl provides. Lame post.

The fact that it’s the same wine regardless of the receptacle is at the heart of the metaphor.

We start off with the presumption that there is no better in order to explore the differences.

You say your wife and you enjoy the different aspects of the two formats doing exactly that.

It strikes me that you pretty much agree with the premise of the thread. Why then do you use derogatory words like "odd" and "lame"?

Worn out subjective subject. I DUMPED all my VPI TT’s, Cleaners, chemicals, preamps, brushes, antistatic stuff, Fozgometers, cartridges, styli, scales and other doohickes years ago, and am so much happier for it ! I still have some vinyl to get rid of when I have some time,,,,,,,,,,,,,, It really is a  dumb argument..................

There’s plenty of analog purists who’d say similar things about streaming.

You’re both denying yourselves the full richness of the audio experience with more than one format. Like bald men arguing over a comb. That’s your privilege but also your loss. 

One thing I have learned from this thread is that literalists rule in the audio world.

I never said anything bad about either , I was just responding to somebody looking down on streaming I guess was his point. You don't need to tell me about analog, if you read I have been there and done that, for quite awhile, with a pretty big investment. So now I don't and am very happy, and not missing anything. Yes it is still a dumb argument, as it always pops up somewhere. Who the h--- cares what somebody prefers, but dont cut peoples' choices down.
