It's hard to let things go; it's good to let things go

Just let a pair of speakers go, and while I really loved them, a local person is going to love them. We enjoyed listening together and I know they'll go to a good home.

My parents used to say that "A good day is a day you get rid of something." I see the point better, now that I'm older.

The "loss" part of it is offset by the feeling of lightness at perhaps trying something else without berating myself for "stockpiling."

What's the best thing you ever got rid of? Was it hard to let go of?

thx Hilde for starting this… you are the flint…. Eh…

I'm a teacher, so perhaps this is really most important thing one can do.

Love the "free" category idea. The restrictions around contact information are a negative for me, generally, on the Audiogon platform.

Feel you, just sold my 2 old Martin Logan subs. I know they went to a good home, and they were just sitting in my garage.

My bank account likes it, will also offset buying 2 new subs.

I just got rid of some brewing equipment a couple of hours ago. I've haven't used in 15 yrs. It felt really good. Tried to give away and they sat there that whole time.

It does feel good
