Jay's rooms almost done - getting nervous

..yikes..you guys letting Ai lead you around by the nose-ring remind me of a story that made the news where some person drove down a boat launch and into the water because they were following a google maps route.  

Bacch, DanielHertz, etc can be considered a more disruptive class of products...i.e., a guy with Bacch won’t be chasing foolish miniscule things with cables, dacs, etc too much. A guy with a DHertz system and masterclass may stop buying vinyl (oh no!), speakers, amps and so on perhaps. One of its goals is to get you the sound of master tape. i.e., these kinds of things are not good for the hifi sales guys and the merry-go-round. Hence, the word....’disruptive’.

On a related note, If a guy only has the space of a proper stereo system, i.e, can’t quite explore some of the object based audio systems (360 reality and so on), the bacch can be a relatively fulfilling alternative for that too.

My room is not setup to be some jay hifi lab for hifi sales. I have some high end things. I also have very affordable things. It is a different type of setup meant for a different type of crowd. Some local guys and gals who happen to be musicians, enthusiasts and so on show up at my house to have fun on a regular basis. I myself am not a pro musician (not my livelihood), more of a instrument enthusiast, can hold my own on a couple of instruments. I like to capture things they play...(might be a one time thing, i.e. won’t happen the same way again, hence, it gets captured). The room’s also treated for that. I can move things in and out of there real quick. I can play it back on a combination of gear, let them get a feel for what all is possible..On the same note, there is a certain amount of inspiration artists themselves gain when listening to other artists when the presentation touches them a bit deeper....in a manner that it perhaps didn’t before.

I also do a lot of archiving of material from obscure old artists who are long gone...

P.S. Don’t trust chatgpt or the like too much. It can also start summarizing the diarrhea from the internet’s whirlwind of BS artists, marketing guys, etc and come up with some BS conclusions..
