Ground look hum occurs when ground and signal path share same wire. Guessing your computer is not on a 3 wire ground. I would suggest adding a wire from the chassis screw of the PC, to a known ground (center screw on wall outlet, or use a 3 wire prong plug, attach ground wire to ground pin, and plug it in
High Frequency Static in single channel - MA352 & MA352
So I've got a newer setup, brand new SabrinaX, MA352, Transparent interconnect, and PowerBank6, Eversolo A6, and am experiencing a high frequency, almost digital sound in only the right channel. Noise sounds exactly like the Computer Noise on this reference page. The sound persists even after swapping the Amp, switching and cross checking speaker cables and with nothing on chain. Literally just the Mac plugged in, speakers connected, power on the amp and the sound starts. Hum in the right channel, silent in the left, can take the right terminal speaker cable and move to left speaker and sound follows.
Also of note, have Ferrite chokes on the RCA's, Power cable, and the Power of the Eversolo just in case.
Not crazy loud at all but ear next to the tweeter and if at night definitely audible in the listening position. So just wondering if anyone has experienced such an issue.

@rpnyc If this statement is true it suggests the problem is not in the amp. I would swap the interconnect cables from the source to the amp left for right and see if the problem moves. If yes, the amp is OK. If no its the source. Does it do it on all inputs or just one?... Do you see the logic train here? |
Yup, totally same page, so the sound is identical no matter the speaker cable/speaker, have swapped them both, only constant like mentioned above is the right amp terminal creating the sound/buzz no matter the speaker or cable. This is all tested with nothing else on chain, meaning not powered or even plugged in. Thanks everyone for the input, still mind blowing. |
Update: never solved the issue, Mac thinks the building has a tremendous amount of RF signal passing through. Swapped the 352 to Moon 641, so far pleased, only a month into playing so burn in should be fairly soon, much more musical out of the gate and staging sounds a lot more precise. Mac obviously had a bit more boom, but a quick little adjust to my eq brought the lowend back. Seems like more than enough power at 4ohms, but just a more neutral response amp. |
