Thanks frogman...
What is the album title you can recommend ?
Usually thought of as a curiosity and certainly a rarity, few have been able to coax so much expression out of this most unwieldy saxophone:
Jazz for aficionados
Scott Robinson is a true musical genius, revered by musicians as one of the most “commercially unsung” heroes of the NYC music scene. His musical palette is so wide ranging that I hesitate to recommend any one recording of his because they are each so different and while one might appeal to Sun Ra fans, another might appeal to fans of Louis Armstrong’s Hot Jazz recordings. An amazing multi instrumentalist who can sound fantastic on any saxophone including rare and obsolete variants, trumpet, trombone, theramin (!) and more. A lot of his work as a sideman is available on YouTube. The following clips will give some insight into this amazing and eclectic musician. https://youtu.be/8FQRAZPeOTg?si=FnwerA2FKoYjNrc2 https://youtube.com/shorts/PgZbfhTnQaI?si=ze47DkUScChVmyKj https://youtube.com/shorts/QSLE9SJpdb8?si=0xo_Q3rAiShbaI0j https://pirecordings.com/artists/scott-robinson/
