Question about biasing a tube amplifier

I own two Thor Audio 150 watt mono blocks,  with 8 EL-34 tubes per side. I recently purchased 16 new Mullard New Production EL-34 tubes. The Thor Audio owner's manual calls for a bias setting not to exceed 250. I installed the new tubes two days ago and was advised to start the bias setting at 235 as not to stress out the tube at inception and increase slowly aver a few days go up to 245. With my prior EL-34 tubes I maxed out at 245. Question will the amp sound better at 245 vs the beginning 235? What if I leave the setting at 235?, am I limiting the performance of the tube. I am very pleased with the sound of these tubes. Appreciate any input that you can provide?  Thank you.

If it were me, I would be tempted to leave it at 235.  You are pleased with the sound, the tubes will last longer and the incremental difference (if even noticeable) is likely to be not great enough to worry about.

You have the equipment to hear for yourself. If you don't hear a difference, go with the lower setting.
