Mofi Sourcepoint 8 vs. KEF R3 Meta

I'm considering one of these two critically praised speakers for my 21' x 14' room. I'll pair them with a Rythmik F12 subwoofer to cover the lower frequencies. I don't have access to a local retailer to compare them side-by-side, so I'm posting here to see if anyone has listened to both and can offer their opinion, or observations.

the MoFi has a slightly wider dispersion size whilst the overall lean of sound is neutral for both, the KEF is a hair more neutral.

the MoFi is also less tasking on amps with their above 4 ohm electrical impedance load.

both incredible, I'd choose the KEF but ironically I have the MoFi 888 and I won't trade it for anything and I chose them because of demoing the Sourcepoint 8 before hand. So I blind bought the 888 @output555

You're not gonna be disappointed with any of these but a demo will have been ideal. Where do you plan on getting them? Do not get any ATC. this obsession with negative midrange having speakers baffle me endlessly

Appreciate the suggestions, but I'm only interested in the two I mentioned in the post.

kofibaffour: Thanks for the insights. It's my understanding the 888s are based on the SP 8s, so I'd imagine they share a lot of the same tone, dynamics and SQ. Pairing the SP 8s with a good subwoofer might be a less expensive way to enjoy near-888 goodness.

@output555 yes if you manage to use sound physics based, measurement/listening led integration of subwoofer. you'd be getting the 888 sound generally.

Hell I use the 888s with two subwoofers, because physics of low frequency in a rooom

Once I get the speakers figured out, I plan to use REW combined with acoustic treatments to polish things up. My room was designed by an acoustics engineer so I'm at least halfway there.
