Wow I haven't heard the name KCI or Koolcables in a minute! They were a popular phenomenon on audio forums waaaay back in the day. I used their Silkworm interconnects for years and enjoyed them. I think they closed down at least 10 years ago though, not sure why or where the owner ended up.
I don't know anything about the Fireball series though, sorry.
