High current amp search

Hello, so as the title says, I'm looking for a 200+ wats amp (8ohm) that will double it's power down to 2 ohms but importantly also check all the audiophile boxes so strong, articulate, fast bass, smooth resolving mid-range and extended non fatiguing highs. It's proving to be rather difficult because hardly any manufacturers list  output into 2ohms. Budget is around 4000$ so I'm looking at mostly used. Besides something like the Krell FPB 300/400 CX which can be had for that much , what else can be recommended?

Musical fidelity has a couple amps in your price range- especially if you find them used. The M6Si- which I owed for nearly a decade before I upgraded is an absolute top performer and should be on the list along with M8xi.  Build is and specs are top notch.  The only reason I upgraded was to get the tube feel and of course needed more juice for hard to drive speakers

When Jeff Fritz was writing for Soundstage Ultra, he wrote about the CODA #11 amp during his ultimate amp search. He ended up with a used Boulder amp costing about $20k but he was questioning that he should just stick with this temporary CODA amp for the long haul.

Coda 11 Amplifier For Sale Or Trade - US Audio Mart

This amp I would take over the Wotan. 100 watts of Class A is great, and I have the CODA #16 so this amp is similar.

The seller's quote

"I prefer the sound of this amp to the Coda No.8 I owned previously."

Here is how the Hypex Amplifiers compare with respect to low impedance power handling:   Hypex Amplifier Selection Guide

You can see they perform quite nicely at 2Ω
Which equates to excellent current capability.   Also, the damping factor is extremely high due to their low output impedance. These amplifiers do a beautiful job of controlling difficult loads.

@muvluv "crown also lists the 2 ohm load they can even handle 1 ohm and lower and up to 8 ohms easily"

@lukaszwk seemed to imply he wanted something good.
