@orenstein
We would like to see your system. There is a place under your USerID to put photos and ID your components. It is really helpful to see where you are coming from. Great way of introducing yourself.
Anyone in this hobby lonely like me and wish they could “hang” with a fellow audiophile?
I had to ask this question. Because that’s where I’m at currently. I created a nice little smartly tuned system that I’d love to play for others. As well as a knowledge base that’s strong enough now to listen in educated fashion to others’ systems as well. I just wish I could invite someone to listen, or vise versa. But all my audiophile friends are states or continents away. I live in a small town in east coast Florida and just don’t know anyone in my region who’s an audiophile other than dealers.
Any thoughts?
Will post system in next post
Thanks!
Tim
@wyoboy So Ken Mo can stir strong feelings of opposition— in himself? Would he be better off as a lonely audiophile? I hope not. I consider him a creative musical talent and I’m glad he shares that talent with us. |
“Brag about your world class system all you want. ???“ I am completely supportive of everything you said. Those were your words, not mine. My point was you aroused my curiosity and I wanted to hear more about your system, just like @ghdprentice says above. Feel free to tell more. I am from the UK. Have you heard the quote about being “divided by a common language”?

@oldrooney He didn't elaborate on why he didn't like it any more but i'm guessing part of it is that he's sick of singing it? [And so is his wife?] But that brings to mind that every audiophile journey (IMO) begins with the love of music and it's only the gear part that makes an audiophile lonely--i can always share music with friends on my system even if they have no clue about the gear--they sure seem to enjoy hearing the music on it. |
