Anyone in this hobby lonely like me and wish they could “hang” with a fellow audiophile?

I had to ask this question. Because that’s where I’m at currently. I created a nice little smartly tuned system that I’d love to play for others. As well as a knowledge base that’s strong enough now to listen in educated fashion to others’ systems as well. I just wish I could invite someone to listen, or vise versa. But all my audiophile friends are states or continents away. I live in a small town in east coast Florida and just don’t know anyone in my region who’s an audiophile other than dealers.
Any thoughts?

Will post system in next post

Thanks!

I have had several rewarding experiences since moving to Florida. These are friends and relatives that sat down and got to experience what a proper system can do. At least a half dozen have really liked what they saw and heard and asked me for design help.

My concept is more than just a great sounding stereo. I like an entire wall design based around the stereo. It's creates an entire mood for the music and is far more exciting than just a stereo sitting there with a blank wall. It's all about creating ambiance to enhance the sound and taking the experience to the next level.

My background of the past 40 years is wood working/furniture shop that evolved into doing stylish home theater wall units in the NY/New Jersey area. Retired but still get requested by those who see my work. So I now take on jobs selectively for fun and in the end have a family of audiophiles to visit.

@dsnyder0cnn , yes Chris Vogel’s club is the one I am attending in 7 days. That’s the one. Am excited!  Where are you?

I agree 100%!  I live in upstate NY, and have not been to connect with more than a couple people.  One a retired audio salesman. I think it may be people have very different hobbies from enjoying high quality music at home. However it sure is enjoyable and fun to share with someone who “gets it!”

I tried to hang out with some audio fanatics in Dallas, but they turned out to be pretentious snots.
