AliExpress order issues

With all the comments about  how good the 'Nordost' cables from AliExpress were, I decided to order some back in April. Got confirmation, and the usual location status updates- shipped, left country of origin, in receiving country, with local carrier, out for delivery...then crickets. No cables, no updates, nothing. Then about a week after the last update I get a "There was a problem delivering your order". that's it. No explanation, no what to do now, no refund coming, no anything. That was the final communication. I had to open a dispute with my CC company to get a refund. Has this or similar happen to anyone else?

I've noticed the 'Nordost' Gold cables are starting to be called HiFi Gold cables instead even though they still say 'Nordost' on the wood blocks.

I am very happy by the result of the one i use with headphone and my Sansui alpha...

I will receive the other one for my Douk  pre-amp tuber equalizer and Edifier active speakers today...

My experience with AliExpress has been positive—fast shipping and very good updates, much better than USPS. There was only one time when my shipment didn’t arrive as indicated in the update. And guess what: USPS, the last-mile carrier, messed it up by delivering the package to a neighbor a few doors down. She happened to be away on a business trip, but as soon as she got home, she personally delivered the package to me. Yep, USPS was the culprit again.

In the past year, for some reason, USPS lost my international mail, lost an express, registered mail at my workplace that caused major turmoil, and delayed our local mail several times by sending it 2-300 miles away before routing it back to town. You name it. The decline in service quality might stem from untrained temporary workers, poor logistics planning/design, and so on. A big shame.

The new China copy of Nordost Odin between my active speakers and  tube pre-amp crush the Ultralink cable  so much that only the trash bin could be their right place...

I am very happy ...

My peanuts cost optimized active speakers after a long process in the last 3 months are now  so satisfying that upgrading them is not appealing anymore...

After one hundred orders on aliexpress for many years i had no real problems which was not solved by them in a way or another..

 Am i lucky ?

In general i am ...

But i think it is a safe site to order...
