AliExpress order issues

With all the comments about  how good the 'Nordost' cables from AliExpress were, I decided to order some back in April. Got confirmation, and the usual location status updates- shipped, left country of origin, in receiving country, with local carrier, out for delivery...then crickets. No cables, no updates, nothing. Then about a week after the last update I get a "There was a problem delivering your order". that's it. No explanation, no what to do now, no refund coming, no anything. That was the final communication. I had to open a dispute with my CC company to get a refund. Has this or similar happen to anyone else?

Wonders never cease! I actually received my 'Neardost' Odin Gold's yesterday. Not sure if they're the ones I ordered in April or the recent ones I just ordered. I put them in last night between my Mytek dac and Aria integrated. Started with a CD from my Audio lab transport. Speakers are Ascend Acoustics Sierra lx. If you're in the market for a terrific sounding stand mount at a very reasonable price, you gotta try these Sierras. The new cables replaced a set of my old ZU mission interconnects. No comparison. The Neardost are really impressive. Newly put in the detail and clarity are really something. I know the ZU's aren't high end, but they're not shabby either. Well, yes they are compared to the counterfeit Nordost. Very happy with them. And for 50 bucks with shipping, simply exceptional.

I just received it today...I ordered it to imitate your fate for the good or for the worse...

I will listen to  it tonight (but i guess it will take much break-in) I use it for my headphone of choice for meditative listening after midnight ...Not for the small active speakers i listen to all day...

but i realized i pay mine 100 bucks...( in canadian then your 50 is near 70 canadian then i pay for it 30 canadian bucks more ) cool

I forgot to ask you the price before ordering... 

Anyway  it is my incoming birthday gift then...And if they beat my cheap chinese one i will be in heaven...

My AKG 340  is my best friend with you here ...

 

 

I cannot wait to listen to them ...

I ordered the .5 meter pair, perhaps that's the price discrepancy.

I knew my 30 bucks cable (chinese too)  can be improved. I waited till now because i did not knew what cable to pick with my limited budget, my limit were 100 Canadian bucks.

Then what is the probability of an upgrade failure ? High...(placebo effect at best) I know cables differ all from one another but the final acoustical improvement on all counts is not an easy task if you buy blind with no possibility to test any cable...

 

But my main dedicated listenings since i lost my dedicated big room and my bigger speakers three years ago is not my very well loved AKG K340 hybrid... A marvel for the price.. 

 

 i  had sleep very late this night, i cannot believe the luck you bring to me,

this cable improved everything, lower noise floor, transients, details but more the thickness of the tonal timbre,even spatialization.

it is what i needed to optimize as the last  final step for the K340...

I was in ekstasy and this cable has  not a complete  break in....it appear as i guessed the other cable was bad...

 

I will buy soon a 1 meter other one Nordost Odin gold for my pre-amp and my small active speakers which are also  at the end of my optimization process  and with a cable i discarded 10 years ago when i bought some better Morrow cable  M3 which i kept (between my dac and pre-amp now...
