Before I even bought a DAC , I did a lot of research with various company's and was very pleased with the technical response from Denefrips.   Very helpful, even with my stupid questions and answered politely and to the point. The Pontus 15 is really well built and performs flawlessly with a warm sound output. Highly recommend this brand !

@gkelly - If you think a $2k streamer's cost is equally split into three components - pre-amp/dac/output stage (and you've conveniently forgotten two of the most expensive parts in any piece of audio equipment; the power supply and the chassis), then you are VERY nieve!

@daveteauk great point! You have definitely won that argument. I guess I was getting a vibe from the OP that he was on a journey. I felt getting  A8 would be a roadblock in the direction he wanted to go. 

excellent product, terrible  service. I have two DMP A8's and had no problem except that I would like to connect one to a modified streamer (Kitsune Holo) that has no USB port but has SPDIF/Coaxial connections. Their instructions are to connect an external DAC, use their USB ports. Any one out there know how to do this. Maybe a USB to Coax cable? If so, who sells that?
