Solid State preamp Brands

Just wanted to update everyone where I am right now. I got lucky and bought a Mullard NOS tube that is incredible. Quiet and stable. My hope is that the tube issues I was having was because they were not new tubes I was getting.

@decooney I agree 100% with you. My tubes are stable after 45 min to 1 hr most. I never turn off my solid state equipment (dac etc)

One thing I did not see mentioned that is in my estimation worthy of consideration is the Class D Hypex amps with tube buffer. Extremely low noise and presumably with the tube buffer offers some tube flavor to the mix. Throw in whatever SS preamp suits your fancy.

Again we've gone to tubes because it's the easy way out.

Those tubes glow in the dark, that's what I like, forget about the accuracy.
