What kind of world do we live in????
The best city in the world, and no audiophile show. I'm moving to Canada, can one find french food there. Even more reason to go!
Let's host our own expo.
It'll include only analog rigs, properly set-up, wine, cheese, belgian ale, big rooms, vintage quads, infinity, sound labs, what else?
Live jazz and chamber music?
Live feeds to audition speakers?
Sushi.
And one duck egg.

I too heard the show was not going to happen this year, to bad it is usually pretty fun and last year I got to drop in and surprise mom on Mothers day. Seems the show was costing them way to much money to continue.

Stereophile is sponsoring the Festival du Son & Image in Montreal this year, from 4/3-6.

Rumor has it that given the significant costs increases in the CES, 2008 and 2009, most manufacturers are going to pass up on participation and financial support for local shows. Dealer's, even the big ones like Sound by Singer in New York City, have found that they are not cost effective.

I DON'T GET IT!
We have some of the best minds actively involved in this industry-hobby.
The future of this industry relies on exposure, I would hate to see these shows disappear.
Can anyone think of alternatives?
How about choosing a location outside manhattan but inside of nyc.
