Why Not More Conversation about VAC?

As I browse Audiogon's posts...I'm constantly amazed at the lack of attention, questions, remarks about VAC, (Valve Amplification Company).
First and foremost, I'm thinking that most if not all of us are music lovers--and I'm not aware, subjectively, of course, of more, just out and out, musical sounding electronics. And, I don't mean that in a perjorative, 'colored' sense...I mean that in the most flattering sense.
The lack of comments may mean nothing, but it just strikes me as 'absent' from good discussions.
Second, and beyond the stellar sound, if you want great gear, and a great person to buy it from, who better in terms of accommodation, knowledge and service than Kevin Hayes. Like the Bobster (Palkovic) his reputation for building first rate stuff and then backing it to the hilt is unsurpassed.

Kevin is also a great guy AND music lover of the first order...a friend too, but I'm not shilling here, just seriously wondering why VAC isn't further up the discussion ladder.

Kinda like reading Motor Trend Magazine, in which they 'Test Drive' a Mustang in EVERY ISSUE!!!

Just wondering.

Just wanted to add one more response as a very satisfied VAC owner. I have had my VAC Sigma 160 Integrated (w/ opt MC Phono and Bal inputs) for a little over 2 months. I have not heard a separate Pre, Pwr, Phono Stage combo or other integrated in this price range that would best this integrated, at least to my tastes and sensibilities.

I would agree with the thrust of previous posts that this amp seems to combine the typical strengths of both SS (bass, control, etc) and Tube (dimensionality, body, etc) amplification deftly. I have used it with Tannoy DC 10Ts, Harbeths and WLMs to wonderful effect. Simplying my sytem by eliminating several boxes, power cords and interconnects is an attractive proposition in more ways than just cost.

I will be receiving some upgraded source components (TW Acustic Raven One TT and ARC DAC8) in the next couple of weeks and expect the sonic experience to be even better.

I would heartily recommend an audition for anyone in the market for a high quality integrated amp in this price range. Kevin Hayes and company have produced a well designed and built product and seem to have a genuine passion for this hobby as well as a sincere interest in their customers.
