I had an 850 for years. I don't think you can go wrong with either unit. But I chose the 850....even though the dealer at the time had a 16 and could offer it at a better price. I think the 850 was more detailed but relaxed to me. Check the Stereophile archives for a review.
Which is better old top 16 or newer medium 850?
I cannot afford new 861, so I'm on second hand market for Wadia.
Wadia 16-teen was predecessor of 860 with digital in/out, but 850 is newer one without digital in/out in the middle line of Wadia integrated CD Players.
But what really matters for me is sound quality.
Does someone have any experience with this two player.
