Whats playing on your system today?

Today I decided to listen to two of my favorite rock guitar heros and one great vocalist. Guitarist' Robin Trower, Ronnie Montrose and vocalist Davey Pattison.

I listened to Trower songs:
Bridge of sighs, Stitch in time, The fool and me, my personal favorite- Too rolling stoned and others.....

Then I pulled out "Gamma".
I listened to: Razor King, Wish I was and Skin and bone and others.....

Davey Pattison hooked has also up with Michael Shenker also. I really enjoyed my day so far. Anybody else heard anything good?

@spiritofradio

Thanks!
I’ve never heard of Plini, but what I am hearing on the Impulse Voices album sounds fantastic. It’s always a great day when I get to hear new music for the first time. Thank you so much for the recommendation!

@pinwa same here. I hadn’t listened to that group in 20 years. Still fantastic music. I never understood why they weren’t more popular.

@dabel I only recently started listening to The Pineapple Thief “Versions of the Truth” on Qobuz. Great music. I need to listen to some earlier albums.

Arstidir - Hvel

Arstidir - Nivalis

I really like this Icelandic group. Good music for a quiet and cold Sunday afternoon. It sounds even better after tube upgrades to my amp and preamp.

Ann Armstrong and Steve Hughes - "I Go To Pieces"

A really cool folk/blues album from 1990. Great music to drive to with the windows down.

@tomic601

Wow! This place is amazing! I cannot believe someone else knows that album. I love listening to her voice.

@dabel Glad you enjoy it. It was a Qobuz recommendation to my list. I’m hooked on their stuff now.

Ikebe Shakedown - :"Kings Left Behind"

If you like the Monophonics you will like this band.

Soundgarden - :"Superunknown" 20th Anniversary

The fact that this album has a 20th anniversary edition makes me feel old.

God Is An Astronaut - "All Is Violent, All Is Bright"

Recommended by Qobuz while playing Toundra.

Kings X - "Gretchen Goes To Nebraska"

An incredible band that is always over looked.

Brandi Carlisle - "Black Hole Sun", "Searching With My Good Eye Closed", and "Take Me Home Country Roads"

- all single releases. If you haven't heard her version of "Black Hole Sun" you need to que it up on Qobuz today. It's amazing.

Academy of Saint Martin in the Fields - "Mozart: Wind Concertos" Decca recording

Trevor Pinnock and English Concert - "Handel: Water Music"

@mapman I have never heard Trevor Pinnock and English Concert before. My classical knowledge is limited and I am just getting back into the genre. The Bach Concertos was fantastic. I really like this ensembles light approach to the music.

Khaki King - "Legs to Make us Longer"

Fantastic jazz guitar album. I need to listen to it more often.

Monophonics - "Mirrors"

Their cover version of "Summer Breeze" is amazing. Such a trippy version.

It is a Pink Floyd kind of afternoon-evening for me

DSOTM, Animals, Wish You Were Here, The Wall, Momentary Lapse of Reason.

@dabel

I will give Black Pumas a listen today. Good day to listen to some new albums.

Leon Bridges - "Good Thing" and "Gold-Diggers Sound" - these are both really good albums. I really like the Gold-Diggers Sound album.

Aaron Frazer - "Introducing..." I do recommend this one since it falls in the same genre of the Leon Bridges albums.

@dabel

Michael Kiwanuka - "Love & Death" - great album! Thank you for the suggestion. It's on my Qobuz list now.

@reubent Yes! Thank you for catching my mistake in that post. I am really impressed with Colemine Records. They have some fantastic bands on their label. I had no idea they were associated with Plaid Room Records. I will need to check that out. Thanks!
