By the way, I do not let VS move my files. I prefer to keep them where I put them originally. That allows me to maintain a file structure that makes sense to me. It my case, the digitized files are maintained in a folder structure based on artist and album, just like I use for my music player (J River).

First, I would post you issue on the VS forum.

Are your collections gone or are those no albums in the collections?

In the vinyl studio folder there should be a mcf (music collection folder) for each collection. The default is My Albums if I remember correctly. There is one folder for each collection. When you do Open Collections in VS it will show you the folder. Do you see the collection files?

If are are technically pretty good, you can make a copy of the collection file (do not do it on the original!) and then look at that with Notepad. You should see each of your albums and a bunch of other information. Don't worry about the specific data. If the albums are there, the collection files are probably OK.

Keith  - Paul is usually very quick about responding but a copy of times lately he has been slow in responding, which is unlike him. Hopefully he will respond soon. Meanwhile, do some testing and we might be able to figure out what is wrong. I am away from home, so my response may be somewhat slow.
