vintage 6BQ5/EL-84 amp/klipsch speakers

I'm looking to put a system together with a reasonably priced Fisher or Scott amp and a pair of Heresy or Cornwall speakers. I listen most of the time to either a Thorens turntable or a Mac Mini music server with a Nixon dac. What's my best bang for an amp and are Klipsch good for cost effective high efficency speakers. Listen to mostly 50/60's jazz in a small room.

You're on the right track. Never heard them together myself, but I have heard that the Fisher 30A mono's work really well with Klipschorns. 30A's have become my "reference" amps, although with a totally different type of speaker than you are suggesting. The similar 20A's would be another good choice... even sweeter.
