Telefunken E83 for tenor 75 OTL

Despite I am well informed that JJ E83 had been chosen by tenor, I still am curious how other tubes will perform (read Telefunken 12AX7).
The other tube question: is DR type of H30 will improve sound quality over, say, Electroharmonics gold pins.
Will greatly appreciate responses.
