i wonder what any turntable would sound like with one of the isolation stands that use sand as the final contact to the table-try this if youve got $100 to spare-i bet it would be very noticeable difference.
SME Model 10 Turntable...set-up tweaks?
I just set-up (actually the dealer) the SME Mod. 10 turntable with the standard Mod. 10 arm. I'm using a Grado Reference (high output model) cartridge. Set-up was "by the book". The Grado is tracking at 1.5 grams. Any tricks that others have learned about this table/cartridge?
