Reducing cd tray noise

Does anyone know of any tweaks or tricks to reduce tray noise? I guess my cd player isn't all that great and it makes noise in the tray area.

Not quite sure what you mean by open and close rattle. It rattles when it is open? My noise is when a disc is spinning you can hear the disc scratching against the tray. I had a Pioneer elite pd 65 that when it was playing you couldn't hear a peep, even if you put your ear up to it with a stethascope. How did you stick it on, with some kind of glue? Totally stopped the open and close CD rattle. I have quite a bit left over. E-mail me directly if you are interested in a piece.
