"new" Joni Mitchell album

Today I bought the just released "Songs of A Prairie Girl" that I though was a new album. It turns to be a collection of songs from previously released albums with the exception of a remixed song and one that was edited. There is no clear indication on the cover that it is re-released material.

There is sticker that says " A new collection curated by Joni Mitchell" that is so ambiguous to me that it says they are trying to hide the fact that these are old recordings. If you have a limited collection of Joni Mitchell or none at all it is a fine collection of songs, but I have an extensive collection so I would never have bought this if I had known what it was.

Shame on them for deceiving me or shame on me for being deceived?

"In a recent interview (in New York Magazine I believe) Joni said that the songwriting muse had deserted her. She explained that was her reason for the album of standards, but that was a couple of years ago. The interview was within the past two months.

I for one certainly hope she finds it again."

Does that mean with being reunited with the daughter she gave up for adoption at 16 or 17(?), her pain and anguish are now gone?
