Without having heard the two configurations in a head-to-head comparison (though I've heard dual JL Fathom 213s), by the math two F110s have about 40% more radiating area than a single f112, more combined power, smaller diaphragms for theoretically better acceleration, and the flexibility of two subs to better energize the room and avoid hot spots and suckouts. A single F113 might achieve better bass extension by a few Hz, but at lower volume overall.
For a 2-channel music system, I'd favor a pair of F110s. After all, they still are linear down into the 20s, which should cover just about everything.
