Question about 12v trigger on Denon 3803

I'm trying to pair my Denon 3803 with a 5 channel Rotel 1075 power amp. I have tryed, without success, to use the 12v trigger on the Denon to power on and off the Rotel amp. Is this just not possible with The Denon? In the Denon manual, trigger setup menu allows output for PHONO,CD,TUNER,TAPE,DVD,VDP,TV,DBS,VCR-1,VCR-2,and V.AUX. There is no option for amplifier. I do have all options set to ON. Let me explain my results. With the 12v trigger made from the Denon to the Rotel 12v trigger in, and the toggle switch on the Rotel 12v trigger switched to on, I get no output. The only sound I am getting is from the subwoofer. The only way to get sound is to switch the 12v trigger toggle to off. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Aaron

Do you have the amplifier power button set to on? Also, are you using a stereo or mono plug on the trigger cable?
I Had the same problem with my 3803 to my Mac Amp
it turned out to be the cable. Make sure you have the correct type of cable and that all the trigger selections are turned on. The way the 3803 works is it only turns on the 12v trigger when one of the sources is selected that is set to on. so when you power up the denon make sure that the source that is selected has the trigger set to on.
I know you said you had all the triggers set to on but I just wanted to clearfiy it for you.
Also make sure you are using mini *mono* plugs, not mini stereo plugs... Rat Shack sells both kinds.
Thanks, I bought a new cable and it worked. I trusted the guy at Rat Shack knew what he was doing when I asked him for a mini mono cable. he gave me the wrong one and said its the same thing. Thanks again
