Preamps: Parsound JC2 ss vs Modwright LS100 tube

Thinking about trying out the brand new Modwright LS100 preamp using 6SN7 driver and 5AR4 rectifier tubes (also 12AU7 and 12AX7 tubes in the phono section) and wondering what others with more experience think about how it would compare to my solid state Parasound Halo JC2 preamp.

This would be my first tubed equipment purchase. Would you expect a very different sound to the JC2? Would it be a sideways move with just a different flavor? Any thoughts/impressions/comments would be welcome.

Associated equipment is the Parasound Halo A21 power amp, sources are Arcam CD92 and VPI Scout TT. The speaker purchase I am planning is Acoustic Zen Adagio floorstanders.

Another Tube preamp that works very well with Halo Parasound is the Lector ZOE.. I have one with two JC1's and it's a fantastic combo.
