I have not heard the Pro-Ject se-II, but the Simaudio LP3 is truly a delight. I really can't think of another phono stage that beats it at its price, and that's with the stock wall wart. I'd love to hear it powered by a 12 volt SLA battery.

im currently using a benz micro ace low output cartridge, i have a new ayre k-5xe line stage coming. i would love to get the ayre phono pre but its way out of my budget. i have two choices in mind. the pro-ject se-ll , and the simudio lp3. im currently using a pro-ject table with there speedbox , so there pre seems a good fit, but simaudio products are always raved about. anyone had any experience with these ? thanks
