New Integra DPS-5 dvd player from Onkyo

This is the step up from the DV-S525, it has what Onkyo calls direct digital path... This is were Onkyo uses a pure copper wire linked directly to the players coax digital output instead of running it along the circuit board. Is this just a "HUGE" marketing ploy or is there some real truth to this??? Has anyone acually heard this player?

Thanks for your reply, howerver I have seen pictures of the inside and according to the picture it is there. what I ment when I said is this a marketing ploy was, does anyone know if this really would make a differance... THANX in advance.
