Network compatibility of KEF LS50W with phone HotSpot

Hi

I'm considering buying KEF LS50W for use in a vacation home. As I only spend a few weekends there each year I don't want to have the local internet provider install a modem/router for WiFi. My iPhone gets reasonably good cellular service at the vacation home and it's sufficient for my email/light duty web surfing during the time I'm there.

My understanding is that the LS50W require a network connection in order to use the KEF Connect app to set/control DSP settings on the speakers. (The DSP feature is one of the major reasons I am interested in the LS50W)

My primary source will be my Chord Poly/MOJO. The Poly can create its own wifi hotspot, albeit without internet access.

My current set-up is to enable the Polys' wifi hotspot and then use the "Glider music player app" to access music stored on a micro SSD in the Poly. I am successfully able to select/play music through the MOJO into headphones or into a AUX line input on a receiver etc.

Does anyone know if I can use a phones Hot spot to successfully create a "wifi network" to allow me to use the KEFs in the manner I desire?

The KEF dealer said to just buy an inexpensive router and leave that plugged in 24/7 at the vacation home.

Does anyone have experience using the KEF in this manner or any suggestions?
