Need to change VTA for 180g pressings ??


I have heard that you need to adjust your VTA
for 180g pressings. How important is this? How
is the sound impacted if you just leave the VTA
where it is for both regular and 180g pressings?
Does it make the sound bright or dull?

...as far as I remember from your previous threads you have Rega P3 2000?
Well this isn't realy "VTA-friendly" TT and my advice is to set your VTA for 180g pressings without and you won't compromise sonically for other regular pressings.
It is important because you will probably have no margin between cartridge up position and vinyl surface. Tracking might be also affected.
