Why did I not know this? I just discovered the switch atop the unit marked Output Direct/Transformer actually has a function. Manley in their literature suggests Output Direct for purer listening. Well duh.... The unit second hand came in the Transformer setting and I never thought about it. Go ahead and collectively laugh now. Anyway, palpable change and improvement. Hurray for me! Cheers
