Late night jazz suggestions please

Hi, I was hoping some of you that have extensive jazz knowledge could suggest some good late night, atmospheric jazz albums to listen to. You know the kind - like in the movies when the weary detective comes home and pours a big tumbler of scotch, and he lives in a house or apartment that seems way beyond the means of a civil servant, and puts on some cool, sexy jazz. And definitely instrumental only. Thanks in advance.

Andre Previn - 3CD's on Telarc with Previn, Mundell Lowe or Joe Pass, and Ray Brown. "Old Friends", "Uptown" and "After Hours", great after dinner jazz, I think. Previn and solo piano "Alone" and one of my favorites, Andre Previn and Thomas Stevens (trumpet) play a classic american songbook.

Houston Person on Blue Note - most any will fit your bill - try "My Romance" and/or "In a Sentimental Mood".

Charlie Haden on Verve - "Beyond the Missouri Sky", 'Land of the Sun" and "Night and the City".

Haden's music is superb!
