I agree with the above sentiments on using either the Mini or a laptop for your source. You will end up wanting an iPod too so budget that in, but you would not want to use the iPod as your source. You can look at my system (and others) to see possible configuration.

Need help from the experts here. I want to to rip my CD collection to a hard drive system, and I'm going to be connecting this to an integrated amp. I want something that's going to be easy to use and with good sound quality, of course. I'm looking at an ipod vs. the Mac-Mini, but I'm open to any suggestions.
