Using the optical out of the airport express will work, if setup by the PC. USB will also get you going, also.
How to connect External Linn DAC to PC
I just purchased a Linn Numerik DAC but I have no clue how to connect it to my PC. I was hoping if you could help me. It does not have to be wirelessly. However, I thought that using the Apple Airport Express with optical output will do the trick?
The thing with the Numerik is that it can also be used with a sync cable which can be used to reduce jitter if connected to a word clock. No idea whether or not I need to do that or how would I do it. I just read this thread:
